Builders Association of Metro Augusta, Inc., Holds Golf Outing

A graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. George Snelling is a retired dentist in the Augusta, Georgia, area. Since he retired, Dr. George Snelling has become involved in real estate, managing his real estate portfolio part time. For the past six years, he has been a board member of the Builders Association of Metro Augusta, Inc.

Begun in 1956 with just 13 entrepreneurs, the Homebuilders Association of Augusta has since grown to include almost 300 members. The nonprofit organization seeks to enhance the community through housing and homeownership. It works closely with local and state governments to make sure that the housing market remains driven by the market and not the government.

An event sponsored by the organization is its golf outing. The 2017 outing occurred on April 17 at the Westlake Country Club. The cost of $125 per golfer or $500 per team covered greens fees, range balls, carts, beverages, boxed lunches, dinner, and a goody bag. Golfers also partook in several competitions, including closest to the pin and longest drive.
